Story Behind Our Name
Theodore Timby was an innovator ahead of his time. He invented the revolving gun turret for the U.S. Navy, and it was first used during the Civil War on the USS Monitor, the ironclad warship that was hugely influential in the American Civil War. Inspired by the inventor, TIMBY Specialty strives to break new ground, being an industry innovator, offering new and elegant insurance solutions to simplify a new era of specialty insurance.
